EU's' no' to Skopje's accession a huge defeat for Greece, Spirtzis says

SYRIZA deputy Christos Spirtzis characterised EU state member leaders 'no' to the start of the negotiations for North Macedonia's EU accession "a huge defeat of the Greek foreign policy and a great shock for Greece".
In an interview with Athens-Macedonian News Agency on Sunday, former Infrastructure and Transport Minister said he supports the re-election of current President of Republic Prokopios Pavlopoulos while asked if he preferred a president deriving from the centre-left he said "I would prefer Pavlopoulos come from the left-wing".
Asked if Alexis Tsipras should be re-elected by the citizens he said that "Alexis Tsipras was elected from the party's grass roots in the national elections with a percentage that neither his friends nor his enemies believed in".
