"A lockdown will not happen tomorrow or the day after. We are fighting to avoid it. Being fully aware of the damage it would cause to the Greek economy, it is the last resort," Development and Investment Minister Adonis Georgiadis said on Thursday, in an interview with Open TV.

"Greece is still in a better position than other countries. This does not mean we are complacent. It is something valuable that can be lost at any time," he said.

He also said that "less whining and more patience is needed. We are all more tired than in March. If we follow the measures, everything will go well.".
