Syriza spokesperson Alexis Charitsis, speaking on Thursday in an interview with public broadcaster ERT, said that the government's tactic of "negotiaton" by avoiding a confrontation was very dangerous for the Greek economy.
According to a SYRIZA announcement, Charitsis said that the government is not making use of SYRIZA's achievements in order to seek lower primary surpluses and this was because New Democracy insists on austerity measures.
Regarding statements made by European Central Bank (ECB) President-elect Christine Lagarde on reviewing the primary surplus targets for Greece, he called upon the Mitsotakis' government to see if it agrees with the International Monetary Fund's unchanging position on austerity measures, adding that the SYRIZA government managed to avoid such measures.
He made it clear that "we cannot tolerate such a logic of reforms, which will essentially bring us back to a recessive cycle of memorandum policies."
