A total of 730 refugees arrived on the Greek islands - 658 more were rescued

The Greek Coast Guard rescued 658 refugees and migrants in 20 separate incidents in the seas of the Eastern Aegean between Friday, November 15 and Monday morning, November 18.

The rescues took place in the sea off the coast of Alexandroupolis, on mainland Greece, and around the islands of Lesvos, Chios, Samos, Farmakonissi, Kos and Megisti.

In the same period, 730 migrants and refugees arrived in dinghies at various Aegean islands.

Meanwhile, two pursuits with exchanges of fire were reported in the sea around the islands of Stroggyli and Kos.
