Newsroom

The main target of the education ministry is for nationwide university entrance examinations to be held as close as possible to the originally scheduled dates, stated Education Minister Niki Kerameus to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency on Friday. She added, however, that the final decisions will depend on how the spread of the coronavirus unfolds in Greece.

"We are making every possible effort for the exams to be held as near as possible to the normal dates, namely in early summer, but this will depend on the spread of the virus and the instructions given by the National Public Health Organisation," she said.

The minister praised teachers and the support they provided pupils through online lessons, allowing them to make constructive use of their free time.
